Revenue for the half reached USD$16.3bn (£12.4bn), up from USD$1.2bn (£0.9bn) a year earlier, with USD$13.1bn (£10bn) coming from usage-based billing, which the company expects to remain the bulk of its income. The filing treats the brand as a core asset and a risk, saying brand spending will rise as competition intensifies. Meta has announced plans to raise USD$95bn (£72.2bn) to pay for its AI expansion, with the money going towards data centres and what it calls “personal superintelligence”. The first part is USD$35bn (£26.6bn) from underwritten public stock offerings, with Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom showing interest as “cornerstone investors” that could buy up to USD$5bn (£3.8bn) of the shares. The second is a USD$60bn (£45.6bn) at-the-market offering, selling new stock at prevailing prices over time.
