FIS and Anthropic Debut Money Laundering Investigation Agent

An artificial intelligence agent developed by FIS and Anthropic is now commercially available to any bank based in the United States, according to a Thursday (Oct. 15) press release. The FIS AML Investigations Agent was first announced in May, PYMNTS reported, although at that time it was called the Financial Crimes AI Agent. It is designed to tackle anti-money laundering investigations. “Investigations don’t slow down because analysts lack judgment,” Stan Szwalbenest, head of enterprise fraud and financial crimes at FIS, said in the release. “They slow down because evidence is scattered across systems and every alert gets treated the same.
