Anthropic Unveils Claude Duet With 6,000+ App Integrations

Announced on October 21, 2026, Claude Duet is available through a research preview waitlist for Claude Pro and Max subscribers in the United States. The platform is offered as a standalone application for iOS and Android, as well as through claude.ai. Built around Claude Opus 5.5, the launch signals Anthropic's growing focus on agentic AI, where systems move beyond responding to prompts to independently coordinating tasks across multiple business applications. Unlike conventional AI assistants that largely depend on user instructions, Claude Duet is designed to proactively identify priorities, monitor workflows and notify users when decisions or intervention are required. Claude Duet introduces a proactive approach to workplace automation by combining continuous task management with autonomous execution.
