What Anthropic’s AI worm warning means for smart home devices

People are worried enough about AI. People might not realize that AI is learning constantly and pretty soon it could take over your devices at home. That's the alarm that Anthropic sounded when it announced that some AI models could become self-replicating and turn into AI worms. These models are potentially only months away from being able to clone themselves. This is a major issue because to replicate something now, you need a human to do it. If the models gain the ability to clone themselves, it means AI is heading towards potentially being uncontrollable. The fact that Anthropic is stating that this could happen within months is worrisome to anyone with a smart home. Of course, there are certain types of people that should be worried more than others.
