Many financial professionals use artificial intelligence assistants to help them write e-mails and summarize reports. Could advisors soon use them to organize their practices? Anthropic PBC, which makes the general-purpose Claude AI, released a product tailored for financial advisors at the Future Proof conference in Huntington Beach, Calif., last month. The tool is designed to save advisors from “swivel chair syndrome,” in which they waste time and attention bouncing between software tools. Claude for Financial Advisors isn’t so much a new product but a bundled collection of AI skills and connections that users can install into Claude’s existing web interface. Skills are collections of canned AI prompts that support common tasks such as preparing for a meeting or following up afterward.
