Anthropic quietly separates Claude Agent SDK usage from subscription limits

Anthropic spent months going back and forth on this one. Now builders running Claude in CI pipelines and production automation finally know what they're working with, and it isn't quite what Anthropic first promised in May. On October 7, Anthropic announced monthly API credits for Claude Max and Team subscriptions, covering the Claude Agent SDK, the claude -p command, the Claude API directly, and Claude's Managed Agents when they use an API key from the linked Claude Console organization. Max 5x subscribers get $100 a month. Max 20x subscribers get $200. Team plans pool up to $500 across the organization, built from $20 per Standard seat and $100 per Premium seat.
