GitHub Copilot Adds Claude Haiku 5.5 and Local Sandboxing

GitHub Copilot has added Claude Haiku 5.5 for subscribers on its Pro, Pro+, Max, Business and Enterprise plans, while local sandboxing has reached general availability. The sandboxing feature lets users restrict agents’ access to credentials, files and networks, and comes with Copilot without an additional charge. Users can apply those restrictions in Copilot CLI, the Copilot app and VS Code sessions that use Agent Host. The Copilot app also supports using one GitHub account for repository access and a different account for the Copilot subscription.
