Accenture has capped centrally-funded spending on Anthropic’s Claude Enterprise at $29 per employee per month, introducing tighter controls on AI usage costs. The revised policy, effective 1 October, requires employees exceeding the monthly allocation to identify a project or team budget to fund additional usage, according to an internal announcement reviewed by technology publication 404 Media. The move comes as organisations reassess the cost of deploying generative artificial intelligence tools across their workforces. According to 404 Media, some Accenture employees had previously incurred monthly Claude usage costs ranging from $500 to $1,000, particularly while using the platform for intensive coding and development work. An internal announcement titled “Claude Enterprise Users: Important Updates to Licensing and Usage Costs” outlined the revised funding arrangement.
