Accenture puts $29 monthly limit on central Claude funding

"Accenture has limited centrally funded spending on Anthropic"s Claude to USD 29 per employee per month for many users, according to 404 Media. Some affected employees had been spending as much as USD 1,000 a month on the tool. Advertisment The policy reportedly took effect on October 1. Employees who exceed the allowance must provide a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) code identifying the project or team that will pay for additional usage. The arrangement allows spending beyond USD 29, provided it has a funding source. Projects pick up extra costs According to reporting based on the internal announcement, Claude Enterprise costs are consumption-based. Usage above the centrally funded allowance is allocated to individual projects or teams. Access is also subject to review.
