Global IT services titan Accenture has reportedly instituted a strict monthly cap on internal usage of Anthropic's artificial intelligence assistant, Claude, as tech corporations increasingly grapple with soaring AI operational expenses. According to an internal memo titled "Claude Enterprise Users: Important Updates to Licensing and Usage Costs" obtained by 404 Media, Accenture informed employees that baseline access to Claude Enterprise would be restricted to $29 (approximately ₹2,700) per employee per month, effective from October 1. Escalating Usage and Token Expenses The decision comes after several employees had reportedly been consuming AI tokens exceeding $1,000 (roughly ₹94,800) per month to automate workflow tasks and software development processes.
