Ohio has asked its voters to report screenshots when AI chatbots such as ChatGPT, Claude, and Grok provide incorrect or misleading election information. Announced by Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose via an official press release, the initiative comes a week before the midterm elections and aims to help identify inaccurate answers and improve how AI platforms share official voting information. Voters can send screenshots of the prompt, the full response and the platform used to the Secretary of State’s office. “The office’s cybersecurity and technology teams are also working to ensure public information on the Secretary of State’s website is accessible to AI platforms while maintaining rigorous cybersecurity standards”, the release said.
