Anthropic: Pentagon completes phase-out, Meta and Microsoft restrict usage

The Pentagon has completed its phase-out of Anthropic and “discontinued the use of Anthropic products.” This is reported by the BBC, citing the US Department of Defense. However, the British news outlet also quotes “several” anonymous individuals who claim that Anthropic’s AI was still in use until a few days ago. It was considered a critical tool for the US military to sift through large amounts of information. In the spring, however, Anthropic was declared a security risk, which is why the AI technology was gradually removed.
