Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei spends up to 40% of his time building company culture

Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei spends a substantial part of his working day building and maintaining the company's culture, rather than concentrating solely on AI development or product launches. In an interview on the Dwarkesh Podcast in February, Amodei said that as much as 40% of his time goes towards ensuring the company maintains a strong internal culture, Fortune reported. The focus has become increasingly important as Anthropic has grown to around 3,500 employees. With the company expanding rapidly, Amodei said he can no longer be involved in every technical or product-related decision. His priority has instead shifted towards ensuring employees understand the company's mission, share its values and trust that their colleagues are working towards the same objectives.
