Monhot AI's Kimi K3.1 Pro model scores higher than its predecessor and than GPT-6 Astra in AI benchmarks, while extra reasoning and tool calls can offset its lower token rates. Chinese AI developer Moonshot AI has released Kimi K3.1 Pro, a model whose biggest gains come from carrying out sequences of coding and business-software tasks. Available through Kimi’s apps and developer API since October 23, the upgrade gives teams building AI agents a stronger option for work that requires repeated tool use, debugging and revision. The API lets other applications use the model remotely. Independent evaluator Artificial Analysis measured a jump from 13% for Kimi K3 to 67% for K3.1 Pro on Terminal-Bench 4.0, a test of coding agents performing terminal tasks.
